Hello Riv Friends,

I bought a new Homer Hilsen last Fall, and it has changed my biking world.
Now I am wanting to share that experience with my wife, so *I am looking
for a 60 cm playtpus* for her (she is 5'11'' and has a PBH of 87.5 cm). I
want to buy a complete bike, as opposed to getting a frame and building it
up myself. I am not very concerned about the components so long as they
are decent quality (a standard Riv complete build would be great), and the
bike has been well taken care of. I know the 2025 Platypi are scheduled for
July, and maybe I'll just have to wait for that, but I wanted to see if
anyone is thinning out their stable in the meantime. My goal is to correct
a mistake I made more than 10 years ago when I bought my wife a
skinny-tire, bent over riding position aluminum frame Bianchi so we could
go on longer rides together, and that totally didn't work because she never
felt comfortable on that bike (she prefers her well-used ~1987 rockhopper:
smart woman!). From what I can tell from the Riv site and the various
conversations in the RBW owners bunch, the Platypus would do the trick.
Great to ride for distances up to 30 or 40 miles, very comfortable,
beautiful design (IMO)....and I've shown her pictures and she loves it.
Test riding one would, of course, be an excellent idea, but I don't know of
any here in ABQ, and it's a little far to go to RBW.

Please let me know if you have any interest in selling your bike or if you
see one that might be for sale. *Preferred color is mermaid, but purple
could also work*. I don't think I would consider going to a smaller frame
size, as with a step-through frame design, it seems like if anything you
want to be on the bigger side. And I really want her to be in an upright
position.

Many thanks for your assistance.

Regards,

Chris Young
