Hi, it worked for me, i have not experienced the chain to fall between the chainrings. It has occasionally fallen between the Chainguard and the Large Chainring. I can probably eliminate that by adjusting the limit screw but i haven't found the need to do it, since i friction shift i just do a slight manual trim of the front derailleur.
