Shannon, Yessir, those are Mavic derailleurs. On a bike with a French model name and crankset (TA Zephyr) I thought it might be fun to have French derailleurs.
Rear derailleur is a Mavic 840 with the long cage from an 845. The 845 MTB VTT (Velo Tout Terrain) has that garish yellow patterned sticker on the outer parallelogram arm instead of the laser etched outlined font "MAVIC". The long cage road model, 841, has a very oddly shaped cage that is simply weird for no purpose. Being modular across I built what I wanted and avoided what I didn't. The front derailleur is a Mavic 860 clamp unit.
