Well I do have two now, far down from years ago. No mote customs just the
Hillborne I bought in 2021 and the Saluki I found a couple of years ago. I
have a feeling for the riding I do the Saluki will be used the most, not
even sure I am going to take the Hilborne off of the rollers and fork
mount. It is still coldish here for me. As I get older the weather plays a
big part in riding as do aches and pains but I find that when I ride my
aches are not on my mind.

My 10 year hiatus from riding ended when Covid took over, I was pushed by
my wife to try and ride. I had kept one bike after multiple back surgeries
and the Bleriort got me going. I brought in an Atlantas but I am not a
lover of the long chain stays. So I found a Hillbourne and set it up for
comfort with choco bars and a B17. I use 48mm tires on that bike most of
the time. The Saluki was a dream come true, I knew the original owner, we
had both bought the a bike from the first and maybe only batch of Salukis,
this was when you could choose a color. Mine ended up being a tad large, my
current one is the right size, so life is good.

So I am just waiting for the weather to come around a bit more. Since
getting my first Rivendell in 1997 I have only had one non Rivendell bike,
a RB1 (not ma true Rivendell), but it was not for me, not even sure anymore
why since this was about 1999.

Anyway, just a quick note on riding and not riding and the fact that as I
get older my speed and distance have certainly changed.

Good riding....
