Thanks for sharing. How long is the climb? With a 36 X 51 and a 27” or 28” diameter wheel he’d have a 19” or 20” gear. At 60 rpm that’s 3 or 3.5 mph.
I recall grunting my new-to-me Raleigh Sport (~ 93-70-53”) up steep hills after we moved from a flat ~700 feet to a very hilly 6K+ feet shortly after I turned 13.
