Is that Salsa stem vintage? I just looked up “Salsa stems” and found only 2 threadless models for oversized bars that look nothing like the classic quills.
I owned a number of the quill models, including at least 2 customs, including one for my first, 1995 Riv Road 26” wheel custom. (Recall modeling and cutting out cardboard templates to gauge the angle and reach). Nice, lightish, and I think sturdy, tho’ hardly as pretty as an old Nitto Pearl; still, stylish, IMO.
