That may be the smallest size that was available on the shelf at your retailer, but Zinser Bullseye absolutely exists in a half-pint size. The Newbaum's Shellac kit comes with the half-pint size, and Rivendell Bicycle Works sells that kit, in a cute box, so it can live on the shelf as a kit.
