Way BITD I used Velomax Circuits on my cyclocross bike. They were a good 
tough wheelset. Easton bought Velomax and within a couple of years the 
Circuit was rebranded to the EA50 or 70. They held up well to the mud and 
banging around of cyclocross racing under my 165# frame and I wouldn’t 
worry about using them for any kind of riding except for maybe fully loaded 
touring to middle of nowhere. I also seem to remember a different kind of 
spoke which may not be as good for replacing on a tour, but maybe your set 
is using a different hub …
