The next 27-by tire that I consider for purchase for one or both of my 60s and 70s bicycles that have 630 rims will be the Swift Tire by Panaracer. Currently, I am using Panaracer Pasela 27 x 1-1/4. At 80 PSI, they measure 28.5 mm on Mavic MA2 rims and 30 mm on Velocity Synergy rims.
The Pasela is a decent enough tire for the bikes that I use them on, a 64 Jack Taylor Sports with a 3-spd hub and a 73 Schwinn Voyageur. Personally, i wouldn't buy tires used unless I could personally inspect them first, but that’s me. 79 bucks and change is not a bad deal right now. I’d like to hear from anyone that has used the Swift Tire.
