Anything with a nice even height tread pattern does a good job of 
compromise between rolling well on pavement and providing some grip on dirt 
trails. 

I think you are limited to 38mm tires on the original roadini, so that 
narrows the options a bit. But something like the Rene Herse knobbies 
(steilacoom? 38mm?) or the schwalbe g-one all-rounds (35mm at least) would 
be a good option to try out.
