11. Loosen the clamp bolt, but not too much. Make sure that the original
seatpost slides in and and out easily, but that the bolt is not loose. The
idea is that the seat lug is round and at the original diameter, but not
able to spread from the cutting forces.

Also, if you clean with brake cleaner, wipe it off the paint immediately.
