I think the three sides to fitness are strength, flexibility, and aerobic capacity. Any one without the other two is setting yourself up for problems as you age. I'm now 72, and attribute the fact that I don't seem to have any physical problems to having regularly done all three for the past 50+ years. As well as being a cyclist I also weight train at the gym 2-3 times a week, and spend about 30-40 minutes a day doing yoga (the Iyengar variety).
