I rode the Divide in 2018 and meandered along for a glorious 65 days. I swam in every river, stream, and lake, and stopped at every brew pub. I was 53 at the time and met riders much older than myself. One 76-year-old woman riding solo crashed in Montana, broke her arm, recovered, and then carried on.  As Jason mentioned, the biggest challenge is carving out the time to make it happen. For that, I recommend reading Walden as a 'kick in the pants.'
