Kevin, I’ve spent a good deal of miles on the C&O, and several thru-trips. I like to do somewhere between 40-50 miles per day, but the most I’ve done on it in one day was probably 65 mi or so. I pack light on multi-day tours (usually no more than 25-30lbs of gear), but I’m a “party pace” cyclist… looking back through my past ride data, my total moving time on the bike for 45-50 mi on the C&O looks to average about 6 hours.
