I was one of the lucky few to get an OM-1 from the first batch, and I love
it. I used an XT rapid rise before, and currently have a Nexave Rapid rise
on my Saluki. For reference on all 3 bikes I’ve run 9 speed set ups with
11-32/34 cassettes and double cranksets. Every bike friction shifted with
either Silver shifters or Suntour downtube shifters on bar end pods.

The OM-1 definitely feels like it shifts better than the XT I had. The
Nexave is heavier, but shifts more similarly. I’ve not had any issues with
the OM-1 on my Atlantis riding trails and single track, and love the
look/build quality. Happy to answer any specific questions, but I’m
definitely planning on getting one for a build I’m currently working on.
Can’t think of a better endorsement than the fact I’ll buy a second one!
