I haven't posted this yet on CL, just here at the RBW board.  55cm Mermaid Platypus, with fenders, Dyno and Tubeless setup, low miles, great condition.

I've definitely seen that Betty listed before and have been tempted.  Now the price is substantially lower, and I remain tempted.  I especially like the stock Rivendells modified to non-stock because I think they scare away the "collector/restorer" type of buyer and they sort of carry built in encouragement/permission to use it a ton, and not be precious about it, at least for me.  If I had the funds laying about and the slot to hang it...  Maybe it'll linger.

Driveside and accurate sizing are not a thing on Marketplace. Drives me batty.

.. oh yes driveside pictures are definitely useful for a bike I don't need, also is that 56cm measured Center to Center?

Since someone suggested it and I saw this beauty on the Asheville craigslist, I'll get this years thread started.

Please note I have no relation to the seller, but exchanged some emails and he seems like a nice guy. He mentioned his wife has a Susie ;)

$1,250 for a custom road.

It seems like a great deal if you're looking for an OG road frame. It does have a blemish from a top tube dent that was rolled out, but given the build, still seems like a good catch to me (I was tempted to buy it, but I don't need another bike)

I'm selling my Rivendell Road Custom road bike. I've had the bike for about four years and purchased the frame from the original owner. It's around a L/XL in sizing, measuring 60.5 cm from bottom bracket to top-tube (C-T), with a 59 cm top tube (C-C)--I'm happy to make any other measurements you're interested in as well. The top-tube suffered a dent early on in my ownership of the bike, but was rolled out with frame blocks and now there's not much to it, but unfortunately messed up the paint. Check the last pics for details: I've added a nice Blue Lug top-tube protector to hide the primer job and to prevent damage. I've ridden it for years without issue...it's steel.

The build is pretty stellar. Here's the details:

⦿ Made in USA lugged Rivendell Frame, Joe Bell paint. Original paperwork included.
⦿ Cane Creek threaded headset. It looks like a modern 110, but is unmarked. It's gorgeous.
⦿ Rivendell Silver caliper brakes. Very powerful.
⦿ Velocity Quill Rims, Velocity Road hubs, Sapim Laser Spokes.
⦿ 700x35c Continental Grand Prix 5000 AS TR tires, set up tubeless.
⦿ Campagnolo Veloce brifters, Shimano XTR (M900) derailleurs, Vintage Specialized ST-4 with the XTR rings. 3x8 and shifts flawlessly (the brifters could do 2x as well, but you would need to play with the chainrings/FD to make work).
⦿ Nitto S83 seatpost, Nitto Deluxe 100mm stem, Soma Highway One bars (46cm)
⦿ Specialized Power saddle
⦿ MKS pedals.

More info: 77cm saddle height in the photo.
