Patrick, funny you should mention this. Since getting my Gus I rarely take the Clem on trail. Also, I installed the fenders and 43mm Homage tires vs. the 55’s I’d had for a long while. I had just finished fiddling with my rear shifter & went for a ride. It was pretty windy so I sought refuge in the nearby woods. I did hear/feel more than a few sticks & such between fender & tire. Nothing stuck but I was thinking about such things. I would definitely remove the fenders if I planned on doing much singletrack. I guess it was because he was riding a hugely long and very upright Clem that he avoided a header.
