Happen to have a nice set of Deore tandem cranks, and wondered if it really an issue to use the "timing" set in reverse on a QB/Simpleone single speed. (Or, in my case, an '83 lugged Stumpjumper until I can upgrade.) I know the pedal threads would be reversed, but it seems unless the pedals are loose, or lock up completely, they would never unthread themselves while riding. Alternately, anyone know of a machine shop that can change the threads? (I noticed that Harris offers TA cranks that were "fixed" in this way)
