+1 for the Bagman.  I have a non-QR version on my Quickbeam under a Nigel 
Smythe Country bag, and it works great and is very light.

I don't have a Saddlesack, but I use a Carradice Bagman support on my Sam H and 
I love it.
I have the QR version and leave it on all the time, but the attachment is only 
one hex screw, so it's not a lot of work to put it on every time, either.
