OK
I'd like to put the wide range (12-36 tooth) Shimano HG61 9speed
cassette on my rear wheel and make my XD2 triple a double. Is it
better to lose the outer chainring and make it a bash-ring then losing
the tiny chainring?
I understand I'll have to move chainrings around and be mindful of the
bcd's. Is it necessary to use BB spacers when doing this to maintain
proper chainline? Thinking of doing this on my wife's bike and
turning the 48/36/24 into a 46/30.
I know this has been covered to death, but there's not so much info on
adding spacers or not.
Thanks in advance
J
