Thanks. After a bit of research and thought I realize I have the R (I bought mine second hand and didn't pay much attention to the details except to note that it was a Cyo) and, in fact, it works very well for combined on and off road (but relatively smooth dirt roads) use. I really didn't notice any disadvantage onroad compared to my IQ Fly and Edeluxe, and I was surprised at how well it worked off road. I, too, mount the R on the fork crown.
