When I was riding the Paris-Motos last fall I don't think I completed a single ride of 30 miles or more without a flat, sometimes more than one. I'll try them again in the spring and hope for fewer goatheads on the roads. I've had way fewer flats on skinnier tires. My guess is the wider tires sweep a wider section of road and find more hazards.
