Anne -- my shop carries both 1.25 and 1.5 widths, available from J & B Importers to any bike shop. Tell your LBS you want 'em.
(I prefer the 1.5 width on my All-Rounder, but I do remember that the 1.25 width gave a very smooth ride.)
