So far I've had no trouble with my Paselas, but I'm running 26 x 1.5's. Perhaps the 700's are more problematic? I like the Marathons for heavy-dut stuff -- I'm using some 26 x 1.75's on my Big Dummy -- but for regular street riding the Paselas seem fine after three years of almost daily use.
