There is always, or usually, a period of adjustment with a new bike; even after 40+ years of assembling my own bicycles I don't get everything exactly right the first time -- tho' as you gain more experience you will also, probably, become more picky about fit. So, get it as good as you can, and then ride it and adjust as you feel it necessary.
