It is sold -- many thanks to Phil of RBW for posting it on his blogsite. I
even covered all my expenses, unusually for such transactions, in my case.

Of my five bikes (or pedal powered vehicles) it was probably the least
needed, to my tastes; not that it wasn't one of the best fitting and
feeling bikes, but with 32 max under fenders and all up weight as great,
almost, as the Fargo's, it is neither the classic road racer I might want
to add to my stable, nor a dirt-capable all rounder (at least for our area
dirt). Also, as an errand bike, it requires more careful placement of loads
than I care to give and, anyway, the later, rather unexpectedly purchased
trike is a better load carrier, not to mention the Fargo's load capacity.

The buyer is a woman who was thrilled by finding a Herse with "all
historical interest removed" -- a bit of an exaggeration, but a buyer who
was interested in use rather than collection.

So I am riding the Fargo more, now, with skinny, 40 mm tires: it's slower
and doesn't handle as well, but it is far more versatile. One day, perhaps,
I'll go back to a gofast geared road bike: RB-1 or Roadeo? I don't need
fenders or tires fatter than 28 on such a bike.
