Question: is there a truly budget minded bike that compares to a Rivendell? Something tig welded but lively and clearance for fat tires? It would be great if Grant could work with someone (Kona, Surly, Voodoo???) to come up with a made in Taiwan scorcher country bike. Tigged, powdercoated, traditional top tube (non-compact/expanded frame), tall headtube with threadless stem, spot on clearance for 57mm brakes, 430mm or so stays, $500. That's what the world needs.
