Refurb. You've got the clearance, cold-setting is not traumatic if you do it carefully (and don't overstep your bounds -- i.e., don't spread a 6-speed frame to a 10), and the Trek is a solid frame. My vote is for bringing back the Trek. --Beth in PDX
