Hurray for us!
Agree, if you can find them, the 1999 thru 2006 Record/Chorus/Centaur hubs are some of the best ever made! These 3 hubs have basically the same innards (cones, races, bearings) and are among the lightest hubs every made. After around 2006, Campy discontinued the Chorus and moved the Centaur hub to be more in line with the lower Veloce/Mirage line. Too bad, For alternatives, look at White hubs. If you want cheaper, check out the Ambrosio Zenith: http://www.totalcycling.com/road-components/hubs/hubs_road/HB_ZENITH_S_R_CAMPAGNOLO.html This is basically the same hub that Jan H sells under the Grand Bois name. Jan raved about the GB hub, so this should work out well. As for lockrings, yes it comes with the cassette. If you want a cheaper alternative to Campy, check out the miche campy compatible cassette, it also comes with a matching lockring.
