I hope it is OK to ask this question here.... it is not a RIV bike but I very much utilize rivish parts.
I am thinking about getting a road only set of wheels and tires for my 2009 LHT. I am going to ride some brevets with a local rando group. I currently run some Conti Contacts 1.75 on the stock rims alex/XT rims. I am lazy and do not want to change tires. I realize the gain in speed by the wheelset will be minimal with the pig iron bike I am riding, but I need all the help I can get :-). I am leaning toward Schwalbe Supremes for tires- but what rim and hub to use? Synergy or Areohead look good but what about Mavic? I am not looking to spend a bundle here, but think I would benefit from something lighter and a tire with less rolling resistance.
