I wrote a while ago looking for ideas that would allow me to quickly move a basket among bikes, without having to mess with zip ties. Well, after some experimenting I have settled on a system that seems to work well. I wrapped the basket/rack corners with leather strips and secure each with a 2" piece of electrical tape. The tape is water proof and good for a few moves. I cut up an old piece of VO leather HB wrap, which I did not like, but there are lots of sources of soft leather. Now I can quickly move the basket between, my bike, my wife's and the tandem. This is all predicated on the desire to teach Samuel J Hanneman the Dog (more commonly known as Sam) to ride a bike. Sam is a half a dog high & dog and a half long mini dachsund. However, it remains to seem weather his usually enthusiasm will extend to bicycle riding. His enthusiasm definitely doesn't extend to cold weather so the training hasn't begun yet.
