You can add to the list the need to regularly check that the bolt
establishing the angle at which the bottle dynamo is mounted has not
come loose.  They often do, and when they do the angle shifts, the
generator operates off-axis and quickly gets destroyed.  By contrast,
there's nothing to check that often with a generator hub.
