It's close, but if you're not running fenders, why not?  If you would like
to change, maybe look at regular Shimano Deore V brakes.  Have them on my
LHT which has 26" wheels and a fender.  It clears the fender about as much
as your Pauls do without the fender.

Cheap Tektros might also work.

Glad to see V brakes on another Rivendell, have Vs on the Sam Hillborne and
eventually on the SimpleOne.  (The parts are at my dealer, just have to get
over there and pick them up.)

Oh, and your complete Atlantis looks pretty nice, too.
