Yes - we had a great fire at Fay last weekend and cooked our dinner on the
grates.  Sausages and skewered veggies.  Very tasty!  Fun to cook over a
real fire - not a camp stove.  It's There was camping on the beach, as
well.  Probably where the bikers would end up.
