You say it looks like everyone else's Rivendell....as if that's a bad thing! :) Actually, I completely understand your thinking. When a new bicycle is a big deal you want it to be unique to you. If I had the money to splurge on a Homer, the major change I would make would be to get a TA crankset from Peter White Cycles. I like the look of the Sugino but those TA's are just drop-dead gorgeous (and priced appropriately for their beauty). Check out is photo of an Atlantis with the TA crankset, the one he describes as having his best components.
