I'm fixing up my friend's bike, and her trigger shifters are toast. She can use 2 out of 3 rings in the front, and 1 out of 7 cogs in the back. The shifters appear molded in with the brake levers, which is a drag, since the levers work fine. It's an otherwise serviceable Trek 820 with fat slicks, and it would be a great bike when it goes again. I don't think she actually needs more than one gear, but I'm not going to make that decision for her.
I'm looking for a set of usable Shimano 7 speed shifters, or cheap thumb shifters and separate levers. If anyone knows how to rebuild trigger shifters, I'm open to that, as well. Random goodies I have to trade from the parts bin: fat 700c tires, a single new 650b Marathon Supreme, some newish XL Riv tee shirts (RONA, Freddy Hoffman). Two styles of MTB bar ends. Front derailleurs. A single Tektro road lever (fat hood style). A single speed tensioner. Small bills. Stuff like that.
