Exactly! Someone (on a brevet, I think) told me: "If you don't wish you were somewhere else at least once, it's not really an adventure". More and more, though, for me that happens before I even start riding. I wish I were still in bed! I really don't understand why all brevets have to start in the wee hours of the morning.
