I've been experimenting with gloves and hand comfort, and it seems like unpadded gloves work better for me. For some reason, the padding in most gloves seems to cause problems for my hands that I don't have when I'm not wearing gloves.
In fact, when I rode the Death Valley event last weekend I was gloveless most of the day and my hands and arms felt great. Does anybody have experience with unpadded short-fingered gloves *or* long-fingered gloves (like these: http://www.excelsports.com/main.asp?page=8&description=Rivet+Long+Finger+Gloves&vendorCode=GIRO&major=4&minor=22)?
