I run the Marathon racer, 26x1.6, on the tandem and like them a lot. Tandems are notoriously hard on the stokers bottom so its important to have comfortable tires, and these roll very nicely too. There may be better tires for wet roads but we have ridden down significant hills in driving rain without loosing traction.
