I have a Nike jersey that fits fine in width but is too long -- the rear pockets are down level with my pants' hip pockets. Any suggestions more particularly for shrinking a jersey in length by about 10-12% while keeping the width more or less the same? -- it is loose enough that a little shrinkage there is fine. It is short-sleeved, so I am not worried about sleeve shrinkage.
This is not a prized jersey, so I am willing to take some risk, but I don't want to attempt anything if it is guaranteed to leave me with a tiny, matted mass of wool.
