As a huge SunTour fan, I do catch that ever-so-faint whiff of marketing 
revisionism. My recollection of most of their technological innovations and 
attendant high-end parts were, err... geared decidedly towards racing, both 
on and off road. 

When I think of their more emblematic offerings, I think Superbe or XC, not 
Cyclone or Honor. Yesterday's Ultra-7 is today's 11 speed. 

That being said, there's nothing wrong with too many good new parts to 
choose from. Shame all the stuff from their "heyday" still work so well or 
I'd probably be in the market.
