My cork grips are starting to chip (apparently enjoying their age and/or being
tossed around too much). I love their girth and shape, so before they fall
apart I am planning on cloth tape/shellacing them.

I plan on starting with them and wrapping up so I have a solid finished edge on
them. Should I add twine, which I will use on the top just under the shifters,
located at the top of the bend of the bars?

Any advice?

With abandon,
Patrick
