David,

Chiming in on your exchange with Steve regarding using Honjos and Hetres on
a Hilsen (the Triple "H").

In my opinion, the critical thing that Steve's Saluki had that your bike
does not have is cantilever brakes. The place where you will have the
biggest clearance problem is through the brake calipers. Steve never had
that problem on his Canti-Luki. The Honjo hardware that you will need to
use in the area of the brake bridge will be problematic. On my 58cm 650B
Hilsen, I found Hetres and Honjos impossible. Hetres and SKS fenders was
barely adequate. I've now gone to SKS Longboards and Grand Bois Lierre
tires and I find that ideal for the caliper-brake equipped Hilsen. The
Lierre really is an excellent tire, every bit as good as the Hetre, in my
opinion.

As Steve pointed out correctly, there's adequate room at the chain stays.
