Hugh on his Hilsen & I on my Atlantis, off for a fun filled Saturday
adventure. With an average grade of minus 3% and a 2,000' elev loss, this
48 mile ride should have been a day at the beach....NOT! Pictures prove we
really did it:

There were, to use cyclotourist's term, "grades of significance".
Absolutely stunning views from the top'o'the hill. The Antelope Valley in
one direction & all of LA, right out to PV peninsula, in the other. We
were riding thru the area devastated by the Station Fire in 2009, as
evidenced by the burned trees. However, life is a tough thing & Hugh got
lots of good photos of Indian paintbrush, etc, that is blooming this time
of year.

All the photowork is Hugh's; plagiarism is my contribution.
