Jobst Brandt, in later years, had a bag carrier fabricated that looked like a
stoker stem from a tandem, clamped around the seat post and projecting back and
up over the rear wheel. At the far end was a T that provided a perch for the
mounting straps of the Carradice. It seemed to hold the bag more rigidly than
saddle loops or the SaddleBag G would do, and projected it far enough back to
prevent contact with one's legs. I've been meaning to have my friend the frame
builder make one for me; he makes stoker stems for QBP so he'd probably already
know most of the process.
