Ok so does me saying we are planning to ride the Erie Canal on Rivendel's make it on topic? :)
Anyway, if you live in New York and want tourist dollars. May I suggest getting some shuttle service companies between Buffalo and Albany. After days of searching we've been unable to to hire anyone to take 6 to 10 people and bikes for a 1000.00 or less. Nobody really minds paying 200 per person on the smaller groups. Trains and Buses won't work for this size group as most have restrictions and it would require splitting the group up. We have alternative's as in the USBR 35 though Michigan - Nice shuttle company minimum 500 bucks 15 per bike and person over 5. We have fond shuttles for Natches Trace For the GAP ride.. (ok so I've done that twice and there are tons of shuttles. Shuttle services exist even for the Cowboy Trail. The Erie Canal is a long apparently fun ride but no shuttles? Even the state group rides says you are on your own getting back to your car but now shuttles.. so how does that happen. New York.. you are losing tourist money.. including the 3 days extra we had planned for motels and play. My rant is done.. guess our on topic Rivendell Bicycles will end up in another state.
