Hey all, A buddy is getting married this summer so for a bachelor's party we did a S36O to Vernonia for karaoke. The last time I did that ride was 9 or 10 years ago. Then the Banks-Vernonia trail was 3 miles of broken asphalt overgrown with so many blackberries as to be unrideable. Now, it is 30 miles of new pavement. I'd read about it many times, but hadn't actually ridden the new version for myself until this weekend. For the return there are old timber roads connecting Vernonia with Scappose, so another 30 miles of off-highway riding. All in all, a spectacular and long overdue weekend.
