Yeah, Mike and Mike have a point. But the problem is in the way Mike 1
made the point. Because of course the corollary is those who do not care
about weight are not in good shape and do not ride their bikes a lot.
Well, I am in good shape, ride my bike a lot, and never think about weight
at all when it comes to my bicycles.

My 1x5 has a White Industries crank so uses White chain rings. My other
two bikes have TA chain rings. TA work very well and are quite durable. I
imagine they weigh less than some rings and more than others. Frankly, I
have no idea. And of course since my multi-speeds have *gasp* heavy
Maxi-Car hubs freewheels, I imagine any weight advantage I get from using
TA over something else goes right out the window compared to using some
modern cassette hub.

Amazing a manage to ride the bike at all let alone a lot.
