Mitch from SLO ( Atlantis owner) emailed me some info about El Chorro County park, which is on the road between SLO and Morro Bay. There is camping there and they have showers. http://www.slocounty.ca.gov/Page11103.aspx This looks like another option. I don't know if there are any food options nearby, so not optimal, but could work.
Still looking for routes. Like to have some backcountry roads with some dirt thrown in.
