Of course ..... one can always just get a genuine 28.6 clamp FD :) The 105 , Ultegra and Dura Ace FD's ( FD-5500 FD-6500) and such of that time frame and older All work wonderfully, as do many Sun Tours. I even use a 105 double with a 26/36/50 triple on one bike. A 105 FD clears the Bombadil frame also, but I use another vintage FD with that . Ebay to me is gold mine of great vintage parts, many NOS even :)
